At Hello Gekko, our philosophy has always been that AI should be your partner, not your replacement. A good partner brings new ideas to the table, but a great partner listens to what you have to say first.

In our previous updates, we noticed that Kaizen (our Workshop Gekko) sometimes got a little too excited during the brainstorming phase. You would paste in a detailed vision for a project, and instead of organizing your thoughts, the AI would sometimes ignore them in favor of its own “new” ideas. While those ideas were often good, it felt like your original vision was being sidelined.

In v3.4.5, we’ve sent Kaizen to active listening school.

Here is what’s new in the Project Workshop:

1. Extraction First, Brainstorming Second

We have completely overhauled the logic behind the “Project Vision” tool. Now, when you paste your raw notes, emails, or brain dumps into the Vision field, the AI follows a strict new protocol:

  • Step 1: Core Extraction. The AI prioritizes your words above all else. It meticulously reads your text and extracts the specific features, concepts, and requirements you explicitly mentioned.

  • Step 2: Suggestions. Only after it has secured your ideas does it look for gaps. It may offer 2-3 complementary ideas, but they are now secondary to your vision.

2. Clear Visual Distinction

We know how important it is to distinguish between your mandates and the AI’s suggestions.

  • [AI Suggestion] Tags: Any idea that the AI came up with on its own is now clearly prefixed with [AI Suggestion]. This allows you to quickly approve your own requirements and optionally cherry-pick the AI’s bonus ideas.

3. Clearer Actions

We’ve renamed the primary action button from “Generate Ideas” to “Extract from Vision”. This small text change reflects a big shift in functionality: this tool is here to help you distill your thoughts, not just generate random noise.

By prioritizing extraction, Hello Gekko now acts as a true secretary—organizing your messy notes into actionable Feature cards without losing the nuance of your original idea.
